After graduating from Goldsmiths in 1998, I spent years experimenting and finding my way. In 2020, my work settled into the bold, simplified landscapes I create today — a style that feels honest, expressive and very much my own.
Artistic Style and Inspiration
My primary medium is acrylic paint, which I use to reinterpret the landscapes of the Kent countryside. Inspired by daily walks with my dog, I simplify the landscape into bold shapes, clean lines and vibrant colours. My work isn’t about photographic accuracy — it’s about capturing the visual, emotional and fleeting qualities of nature. I aim to evoke memory, atmosphere and a sense of connection to the natural world, inviting viewers to form their own emotional response to the landscape.
